Fellview's Governors provide strategic advice to the school's teaching staff and oversight of the school's operations and management.
Libby Graham, Chair of Governors
Libby has been a school governor for 25 years, first as a parent governor at her daughter's school in Manchester and then as safeguarding governor and vice chair at a large Manchester high school. Her background is in urban regeneration where she managed social programmes including an Education Action Zone, SRB and New Deal for Communities initiatives. She brings a community dimension to the governing body, having previously worked for the Northern Fells Groups. She is the Local Authority Governor and is passionate about Fellview School.
Clive Bush, Vice Chair of Governors
Clive is a former secondary headteacher of two schools in Cumbria and one in Cambridgeshire. He later became the National Director of a nationwide school improvement programme and his last professional role was to establish and lead an academy trust operating 22 schools in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Clive has lived in Hesket Newmarket since 2006.
Steve Razetti, Parent Governor
Steve's oldest two boys attended Fellview before moving to Keswick School and his youngest son is currently in Year 6. He became a Governor in 2018. Steve moved to Hesket Newmarket in 1988 and spent 20 years working in the Himalaya and Karakoram as a mountain guide. he has worked as a journalist and published author but having taken on the renovation of a farmhouse and married a local GP, he has enthusiastically accepted his new role as domestic god and kids' taxi driver. Steve maintains a keen interest in photography and regularly exercises the family lurcher on the Northern Fells.
Jon Brown, Parent Governor
Jon works for a charity that protects people in conflict zones across the world, finding and removing landmines and unexploded ordnance, delivering risk education to affected communities, and delivering projects to reduced armed violence arising from small arms and light weapons. He comes from a Cumbrian farming family, is a former journalist and has two daughters at Fellview.
David Oatway
David is a research consultant and ecologist. In recent years his work has largely been associated with semi-natural upland pasture. before moving to Cumbria in 2015, David was Head of Research for a telecoms regulator, overseeing research connected with consumer behaviour and consumer protection, including in relation to children and their use of mobile devices.
Jo Wright
Jo moved to Caldbeck from the South West in 2018 and is very happily settled in the village. Jo is a serving police officer, joining in 2000 who transferred from Bristol to Cumbria Constabulary. She is a Detective Constable with a significant background in child protection and safeguarding. She currently works in the Safeguarding Hub.
Hannah Whitson, Co-opted Governor
Hannah has three children in the school.
She has a background in catering management, before becoming a director of the family agricultural business where she takes a lead on administration and credit control. Hannah has a special interest in special educational needs and hopes to implement this into her role as a Co-opted Governor at Fellview Primary.
Tony Vaux
Tony has three grown-up daughters, and six grandsons in primary school. For many years he worked for Oxfam and others on disaster relief and international development. Tony moved to Caldbeck 20 years ago with his wife Sally and is now involved mainly in local history and environmental issues.
