Reception and KS1 learnt about animals and their habitats today at the Great North Museum in Newcastle. They loved the planetarium visit that not only taught them about space but reinforced their geography knowledge too.

KS2 had a fabulous time at the Great North museum in Newcastle today! They learnt all about Ancient Egypt and visited the planetarium.

British Science Week has been a fantastic opportunity for the children to see real-life applications of science. Thanks to our volunteers for their sessions on x-rays, mountaineering and taking fingerprints and our local PCSO for talking about road safety.

Thanks to Arts Council for organising World Book Day activities today! We are creating our own graphic novels and will share them this afternoon. The adults are going to read stories to the children and Eco Council are arranging a book swap too.

We had a picnic in the hall today and School Council had a meeting about rescheduling our trip.

KS2 have produced some fantastic printmaking in their Art lessons. Y5 and 6 worked on creating a layered reduction print. Y3 and 4 created monoprints!

What a lot of fun we are having in the snow! KS1 practised using a thermometer to measure the temperature outside -0.4°C is the lowest temperature we have measured so far.
